A new independent plasma physics journal

Journal of Technological and Space Plasmas

Check out our new independent Journal of Technological and Space Plasmas (www.jtsp.eu)! We are a fully peer-reviewed open access journal and have just started our second issue. In order to celebrate that we have launched several initiatives, which bring high quality research articles to a broad audience of several thousand readers and viewers.

Firstly we want to give anybode the possibility to publish research without being hindered by a large pay wall. Thus, we waive all publication fees for articles submitted to our journal in 2021 if the first author is located in a country outside the G20.

Secondly we also want to promote the ideas of young researchers, especially if these ideas are unconventional but scientifically sound. For this reason we started a student paper award for young scientists. The first prize is a 100 Euro Amazon voucher that can be won within the next few months (and, of course, the publication of the winning paper will also be free of charge). Each contribution to JTSP will be taken into consideration for this student prize if the following conditions are met:

1. The first author has not obtained a PhD degree at the point of the paper submission.
2. The paper has to be submitted until the 31st of Oct. 2021, 12 pm, Central European time.

The winner will be chosen by members of the editorial board, who will take the following points into consideration:

1. Soundness of the science underlying the paper.
2. The referee reports from the peer-review process.
3. The quality of the presented idea(s) - are they novel, unconventional and will they have a broader impact in their field?

We are looking forward to read your manuscripts and the winner of the contest will be anounced by the end of November 2021.

Good luck to all contestants and please share this information with all your students!

You find further information on our journal's homepage: www.jtsp.eu and we look forward to recieve many exciting papers.
